Away for awhile

I realize that I have been away for a while and I am truly sorry. While family was on our vacation in the Smoky Mountains, we lost my dear mother. Life has not been the same since October 17th. We raced home to make the arrangements, and now we are wading through getting her estate in order. I am sorry for any missed emails, or cards that I have not properly thanked. Thank you for all your understanding. I never thought that I would be here at 33, both my beloved parents are gone. Now that I have to figure how to carry on with out both of them this has been the most difficult event of my life. I am sorry but I am in the process of getting some order back in my life and I will be back soon.

Sneak Peak at Fall Supplement 2007

Okay, here is a little peak. If you want to check out the whole supplement the follow this link:

http://www.theangelcompany.net/fallsupplement.html

Let me know if you find something that you really want. LOL

Make N Take - stamplifted

Here are some cards we made at my upline's. She said all of them are stamplifted. LOL. So she was thankful to share the designs with us.

If these are your designs, thank you! You do awesome work.

Split Negative

I really like this technique, I will be playing with it shortly and offering more samples. Emboss with opposite color, it is almost that easy. hahaha Just make sure to put repostional tape on the back to help from the cardstock moving while you are stamping.

Cute Corners

This is a technique I learned very easy to add detail to the corner of a project. The paper is from The Angel Company's designer paper collection. The set is called Seeds of Blessing, 4 cute image stamps, and 10 phrases and inspirational stamps. Love it!

Criss Cross Christmas

Did this one for a snowmen swap, shhh.

Criss Cross Fall

Fall is my favorite season, the crisp smell in the air. The cool breeze, that makes you run for your favorite sweaters. Makes me thankful for all the people that are in and have been in my life. It is a season that I reminisce about the blessings I have received. I wish that spring and fall could last just a little longer.

Hope's help

Okay, so I did not get much done with my little helper, but isn't she cute. She does this often, usually sitting on my stamp scrubber. Urgh! So then when I clean my stamps I have bright orange cat hair on them. She gets up here to look out the windows then sees her reflection and sits and admires herself. LOL! She is very vain, probably because we are always telling her she is so pretty.

Rock N Roll Christmas

I know everyone is probably sick of seeing so many winter/Christmas cards, sorry. That is just what I am in the mood for now. I absolutely love, love, love the fall but it starts my mind working. And when I think about how many card I need to get done, well let's just say, I start to panic. So, I end up making all Winter themed cards. I have to do something to get my mind ready to get them done. LOL!

Bib Card

Here is a simple bib card I did, I used a bazzill chip and layered my circles. I really like how easy this card is to make. I used the circle sampler stamp set from "The Angel Co.", Palette Inks, Simply Spooky designer paper from "The Angel Co.", Elements and Ribbon as from "The Angel Co." I really love how the ink, card stock, paper matches. Too Cool!

K Grad

Simple page for some of my daughters keepsakes. I scanned and shrunk her report card to place inside the library card.

One More Christmas Card

Okay, I had to try one more Holiday card before tomorrow. So, here it is... Again this feels to simple to me. I think my mind sees it one way then my hands create it another. Well, it is too late to redesign. I hope everyone likes one of them.

Thanks for sharing your time and comments with me. I really appreciate all the support everyone has given.

Two for One, and One for All

These are my inspiration. My Kids. They are my everything, my huband's most precious gift. I often have to sit back and count my blessings. I have been given so much with my family. I just can not describe the love I have all of them.

Julianna is my artist, very imaginative and giving. She is very outgoing and everyone is her friend. She has more patience with her brother then even his mom. LOL. She teachs him, and when he tears things up she just sighs. What an understanding big sister.

John is my challenge, he is never afraid to try. His favorite saying is "I do it". He is 100% boy but he is very sensitive and shy with new people. He can watch Polar Express a million times and want to watch it again. He likes all the usual boy things, trains, cars, and playing with daddy and his tools. He is extremely neat, picks up after himself and likes this in order.

I love the experience of having a boy and a girl because it is vastly different. It is great to see and cherish the differences.

Christmas Shoe Box Card

This is my design for a shoe box Christmas card group. I feel like I am really getting a head start on Christmas cards. Wow! that will be a first.I used the cuttlebug embossing folder, the marvy scalloped punch,Cha Cha Hardware, Angel company stamps and Cha Cha designer cardstock. I also used a glue pen and added glitter to the embossed areas. I might redesign this or create a totally different one before Saturday. I think it might be just a little to simple for Christmas Cards.

Never Give Up

Never give up...This is my son's motto. He is the most determined person I have ever meet. This is usually a wonderful quality, however in the hands of a two year old. Whoa! Hold on, your in for a wild ride, because nothing is going to stop him. He fears nothing, and loves with out worry. This kid gives his all in everything all the time. He makes me proud and fearful all within the same second.

I should have known that he was going to be this way. See we named him after my dad, who we lost the year before. He is a daily reminder of my dad and the love we shared. I miss him so much, but luckly we were blessed with my son John.

Double Time Challenge

This is a little challenge we (me and my friends )do, we pick a technique, then everyone makes one and sends it to their partner for the challenge. At the end we all get to see what each other has made.

Totally cool idea! From a Totally cool lady, Melinda. She is our queen & we like it that way. She assigns the technique and the partners, rotating them all. Super fun and you do not have to live in the same town to play with your stamping buddies. If one of us is having an issue with something not working we all try to help out and pull them through. You would be surprised at how easy techniques can stump us and difficult ones blow us away.

This technique is called double time, and the card, bookmark, and bag were sent to my buddy Angie. I hope see is not looking, or it will ruin the surprise. LOL

Double Time Technique reminds me of the one sheet wonder, the only difference I can see is that you stamp till your ink is gone. Very easy and pretty cool effect. I used the angel company paper, ink and the set "Ornamental ribbons". If anyone would like the link for this one, just let me know,

Waterfall Card

I taught this waterfall card to a wonderful group of ladies. We get together once a month and try out new techniques. We always try to come up with techniques that we want to learn then we come together and try to due them. It seemed like everyone liked the cuttlebug embossing folder and the stamp set. Th set is by the angel company, "It's always springtime" one of the wonderful new set we have to offer just $10.95 four solid flowers images and three sayings in this one. WOW! Let me know if you would like to order or do a catalog party, I give wonderful incentives.

I absoluetly love the new solid stamps we offer, because some times I get lost in the details. I often end up coloring for a hour, and who has that kind of time. This set allows me to get a card done quick and have it turn out elegant. The waterfall cards they are easy and fun to make and receive. Try one and you will be hooked.

Thanks for sharing your time with me. I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy all the little moments.

Inky Hugs, Maria

Color Challenging

Okay, I decided to challenge myself and combine colors that I would never use together. Well, let me know what you think....
I kinda like it.

I used "The Angel Company" Partridge set, Spring dream and Simply put. All these sets are hostess and gift with purchase sets. All elements are available from The Angel Company.

Pink Eleghant

Here is a simple baby card I did, I really want to add something to it just seems too plain. Maybe I will add black dots around the circle punch, then doodle a little on the left side. Well, just a thought I might actually send it out as is.

Chalk Popping

Here is a quick card with the shimmering chalk popping. I also used the big shots for the label and the new tac flowers.

Think cool

Okay, all I can think about is the cool temperatures of Winter time. It has been a 100 degrees around here, even in the evenings iit is too hot. Tomorrow is our town's annual night out and I think it is going to be just too hot to be outside. Yuck!
I have really been in the mood to create Christmas Cards, so here is Whimsical Christmas set by TAC, Scrappers Floss, and Designer Paper collection from TAC. Hope everyone is staying cool and playing with stamps. :o)

Time? Where did it go....

Well, my family has been working on remodeling and cleaning our house. So this has taken a lot of my stamping time but I did manage to steal a few minutes & here is what I did...I used the rock and roll technique on the square stamp, this is a new set called "it's all springtime"
I feel so guilty it took me three weeks to cut my stamps from the new catalog. Oh, I bones ache from the manual labor, I really need to explain to my darling husband that I was made to be pampered not put to work. LOL just kidding he does pamper me most of the time, the rest of the time we work shoulder to shoulder :o) Maria

Ten Gallon Hat

This is my son John, he is 8 months old in this picture. He is wearing his big sisters red cowboy hat. He was so happy she shared her hat with him. He was crawling after her to try to get it. My little cowboy has changed a lot in the last 2 years but this is one of my favorites pictures.Especially, when I first saw the wild west stamp set from TAC, it is just perfect!! Now off to more stamping & scrapping.

My take on this Page

Okay, as promised here is my take on the sample scrap page.I love this picture of my daughter with her sunny bright yellow shirt. Of course getting a child to smile on que is difficult, so as usually this smile is fake. But the girl is true blue and sweet as pie.
Oh, by the way I really do not like my handwriting so I hide journalling. It is located under her picture which is on hinges with a magnet closure. Hope everyone likes this layout as much as I do.
Inky hugs, Maria

Okay, I wanted to share my favorite scrapbook design. This was one of our scrap make n takes, so cute and simple. I will be trying to work on getting my own version of this page done soon. Hope everyone will be inspired. I know the new paper line from the Angel Company is truly amazing and brillant.

Crinkle Chalk Background

Okay, here are two challenge cards I made to send to my wonderful friend Julia.

Busy, Busy, Me

I have been super busy and missed posting. I have been cramming everything into the last few days before I leave on Wednesday. I can not believe The Angel Company is 10 years old this year. I think back to when I found them and it really amazes me as to how far they have come. I found them when I searched for alphabet stamp set to use in my scrap-booking. I had been scrapping for a couple of years. Well, I love the internet and found several sets for sale on ebay. Well, to my suprise this started my journey with The Angel Company.

Now, I am going to be attending the 10th annual seminar in a couple of days. Wow, this is so much fun. Here is one trade that I designed for my trip.
Happy Stamping and Inky Hugs, Maria

When did the weekends become just more work days...

Well, here is the close of yet another weekend in which I got nothing accomplished. I did work all weekend. YUCK! I want to play. When did this happen? It seems that the weekends only blend into more workdays.

I did get to steal a few minutes to make this card for my nephew's graduation party today. It always seems that I do not have the right cards on hand when the need arises, even though I make a ton :o)
This technique is called Modern Grid from Technique Junkies. I just love everything that Pat does with that site. Tons of samples and great tutorials.
Hope someone out there got to play.

Inky Hugs,

Maria

Sympathy Thank You Card

Here is the other two designs that I finished up tonight.

Saturday, June 2, 2007

Recently, we had a death in the family. My brother in law at age 40.

Well, my sister asked me to make her sympathy thank you cards. Here are the 2 designs that I have finished, I am working on a third.

Starting Out

Well, this is it....Time to get up to date with the times. It seems that everyone has a blog spot, so now it is time for me.

I have been diligently trying to get ready for The Angel Company annual seminar. I have been designing trades, finishing my seminar scrapbook page (to the left), and trying to come up with something clever for a special trade. ARGHHHHHHH! And that does not even encompass all the packing, and gathering prop items for this adventure. Well, regardless of all the things I have left to do, I look for to this year more than the past years. This is the 10th annual tac seminar! Wo Hoo, we are going places. This year's theme is be brilliant and it seems to fit this company very well.

It was announced that the catalogs will now be twice a year, that means twice the fun. The catalog unveiling is just so much fun. We all are gathered in the banquet hall and all you hear is ohhh, ahhh, and pages turning. This will be my third seminar and I can hardly believe I am going.

I will try to share with everyone as much as possible.

Please feel free to post.

Hugs, Maria
