Photo Card Challenge

My friend Melinda thought she would give us ladies a challenge to use a photo in our cards. Well, I think she was thinking that this would make the challenge that much easier. LOL! I struggled with this one, trying to figure out how to make a card do justic for this fabulous photo. Melinda's brother took the photo and did a wonderful job.

Well, I finally printed it out on vellum, layered it on white cardstock. Then I added blue cardstock with 1" circle attached to one edge. Took the circle edged cardstock and ran it through the crimper. Then, layering all the pieces on a stardust card. Finally, using art glitter glue and glitter I edged the photo for some shimmer. The sentiments says Life is Short celebrate the moments!

Have Faith

Have Faith...I am trying. Everyday struggles make it hard to believe that it will all work out for the best. I always pray that the path will be clear for me to see but than that is not having faith. Obviously this is something that I need to work on.

This is what this card says to me. The stamp sets used are: Something Fishy, My Spiritual Journey and Fancy Curls. Cardstock from the Winchester Cardstock Collection

Mia's Cottage Door Hanger

Extra cute door hanger for pictures or a saying. I love this one, my daughter is an extra girly girl. So, I think I will make it in to a little sign for her room. Maybe I can add the daughter poem to it for a special keepsake.

File Folder

This is a little late but I made this file card for Christmas. I really love the coluzzle template you can do so much with one. Next, I am going to try to incorporate a file folder on to a scrap page. I have a million photos to try to get into the book. I will share more once I get out my swap stuff done. Whoa! this is my month to be the hostess, I hope everyone likes what I have sent. I will give you a hint....It has to do with a certain holiday that falls in February. I know I am so predictable, but that is okay! I LOVE THIS HOLIDAY!

Here is a picture of the Alamo - we stayed next door at the historic Menger Hotel, which was very cool. I just could have stayed there at least a week more. San Antonio has so much to do and see, I do not think that I would ever tire of the area.

Below is a picture of my friend Vickie and I at one of the classes during retreat. We had a great time, the Angel Company did things a little different and I have to say if was fabulous. I enjoyed all the projects and learned about a lot of the new products. Yeah! they are all top notch!

Love 2....

Okay, this is with a new set fancy curls, and the new scalloped punch, and finally the circle sampler set. I love simple, I hope you all do too. I actually made this to give to a friend, she is very special and needs a little boost. I hope this card helps her out.

Love ........

Trying my hand at a few Valentine Cards, I am running into a brick wall. I really want a design that stands out from the rest. I thought I could accomplish this with the ABC Frameworks from TAC which are really cool. I am going to keep on trying to see if anything comes of it.

Used love doodles set and Swoops and Swirls from the new catalog.

Life is Short...make your own joy

The statement on the card is how I feel. Life is short, make your own joy.

I have been reflecting on my life with the New Years and all. And the one things I always have issues with is...regrets of not doing this or that. Well, life is short, so be sure to make the most of it. Do the things you enjoy and be with the people you love. Just make it count.

New Year Resolutions for 08

I need put these down to paper so that I am forced to refer and reflect on the things I want to change in my life. So, here goes. (thanks for listening)

My first New Year's Resolution is to not let life (stuff) interfer with the good things in my life, like my family, my friends, and my stamping.

My second is to finish what I start. With this I am referring to my education, I have 4 classes left to receive a designation and I have been putting it off. No more!

My third and final resolution is to, of course - lose weight. This one has been a challenge for me but I am really determined to push my limits. I recently agained another 10 Ilbs and it was really all my fault, so enough with eating to feel better. I really think that I hibernate in the winter and pack on the weight to survive till summer. LOL! This one will be tough but I have to do it for myself and my kids.

Getting Ready for San Antonio

Okay, I am ready for a fresh start and I am hoping this year holds the answer.

I have been trying to get motivated into make some trades for my upcoming trip to San Antonio. The Angel Company is having their annual stamping and leadership retreat. I look forward to this every year! Well, this year is going to be extra special since my hubby is going to meet me there after the event. So we get to spend several wonderful days together without the kiddos. This will be the first time we have both left them and went some where together. I am kind of worried but between my darling mother in law and my beloved sister, I know they will be fine. They maybe spoiled beyond belief but that is okay, we all need that from time to time.

Well, here is my first trade this is two new sets from the Angel Company's Spring/Summer Catalog. I know it is simple, but these days that is really what I have been leaning towards. I hope to have at least one more design done and ready by the 10th, URGH! I really can not wait even if I have nothing to bring with me, I really just enjoy being with the other angels. These ladies are a cut above the rest. Well, I better get going if I am trying to get everything else caught back up. LOL! I know that will probably never happen, but I can dream.
