Have you ever come back to an image that you have colored? Well, that is exactly what I did with this one, I found out that you can really put on the finishing touches to an image that you have colored with Copics.
I like the sketch just not how I colored the image. Funny how once you get a card all together you either love it or hate it.
I wish I had not drawn a smile on her, she had a blank expression and I wanted to make sure it fit with my sentiment. Now, I think it just looks like she is smirking. Does not really encompass from the heart.
Boots, always make me think of my Father. See he was a country boy at heart. He grew up in the country but then moved to the city once he married my Mom. He always wore his cowboy boots and western suits to church. I even have a bowler tie collection that was his. He was a wonderfully unique man, that I am proud to have called him Dad.
This card reminds me a little of him, even though the only thing that does is the boots. Missing him.
I purchased these little tabs over five years ago...Can you say hoarder? I have not even looked at them in over two years. When I did finally pull them out it got me to thinking I need to use this stuff.
I challenge you to pull out an embellishment that you have not used, and use it on your next card. Please share what you create.
Since over at Savy Projects Blog of TAC's they are doing a Christmas in July week. I thought I should take this opportunity to get a head start on my Christmas Cards. I love this little cute images so it was no chore to pull him out and get creating.
I wanted to do a card that would be good for a kid. I alway tend to do cards to grown-ups but this year I plan to send special cards out to all the little kids in my life.
If you want to start working on your Christmas cards be sure to order your images early.
Do you ever miss the days when you could spend all day crafting? I know I do! Well, some how I was able to spend well over and hour on this card.
It took me forever to color since I wanted to layer it, I colored three to look the same. Then I cut the sunflower out and popped it up. I love this effect and I hardly ever use it. Funny, how things slip your mind when you sit down to create.
Plus, I challenged myself to use supplies and design collections that I have not used in a while. This SWIC collection had a wonderful yellow and pink cardstock in it that I choose to use.
I hope that you could steal some time away for yourself and craft away.
I made this card for my BFF, see her favorite color is purple so of course that is what I used. She is pretty special to me so this card had to be special. I hope she has a wonderful day, and likes this card
Today is the first day of my daughters Girl Scout camping trip. So, I thought that I would make her a card to give her when she returns. I am missing her already and it has only been hours. How am I ever going to make it to Friday.
I know this image is strange to use on a missing you card but I thought she would like it the best.
Getting back into the swing of doing the templates, I am not crazy about this sketch but I love how the card came out.
I am loving this set, I would not have choose it but I received it at seminar. And I have loved playing with it. It is totally not my style but I just love the style now. I guess I will have to branch out on the idea of what I like.
Have you ever looked at a set and thought for sure it would not be for you?
Well, hopefully I am doing this set justic because it is great.
I love this color combination, I can not wait to play with these colors again. This was a set that we got an early look at before the catalog came out. I have to say that I was really excited when I realized that it was in the new catalog.
If you do not have a catalog and want one be sure to let me know. I am running a special this month.
